Originally from the Memphis area, I moved to Seattle in 2006 where I met my husband, Matt — a Topeka native. In March 2014 we left the rainy pacific northwest to be closer to family, where we enjoy raising our kids to experience all four seasons!
I completed my Birth Doula Training at the Simkin Center for Allied Birth, one of the highest quality birth doula trainings available, and finished my DONA Certification in November of 2016. My background is in healthy lifestyles and mind/body medicine, which provides a valuable skill set to my role as your doula.
I consider myself a full-spectrum doula; someone who brings the doula model of care to people across the full spectrum of pregnancy experiences, including adoption, surrogacy, miscarriage, abortion, and stillbirth. You can imagine that nonjudgmental support during these times can be vital for processing the experience and moving forward.
